If I could change the world, I would have people be more positive. People are too negative nowadays. I also wish people were less judgmental. People often make assumptions about a person without getting to know them. If people got to know each other before making judgements, then they could be more empathetic. They could understand why people act the way they do so they don't make assumptions about people's character.
-Written by LSHS Senior Payton Welch The world is significantly better off than it was just a century ago. However, there is always room for improvement. This week, we want to know how you would make the world a better place. Whether it is through a big change or a smaller one, tell us what you would do to improve peoples lives. Send all submissions to our email at [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you!
-N My passion is art. I love painting, drawing, sculpting- anything related to the arts. Art provides me with a way to escape. An escape to my own little world. While I can always get better, the joy and sense of accomplishment that art gives me makes me have that much more of a drive to continue my work. Art ties people together and I'm glad to be a part of something like that.
Written by an LSHS Senior My passion isn't limited to a singular thing. I love learning and discovering why things are the way they are. However, I'm also passionate about performing. Whether it be singing at a family event or acting on a stage. My love for learning has introduced many topics, some which I didn't even know existed, into my life. Thanks to that, I feel more educated and have a greater perspective of our world. The same could be said with performing. I was once shy and quirt, but singing in different languages gave me the confidence I needed. If I were to mess up, they wouldn't know or understand. These two things alone will always be something I'm strongly passionate about and I'd hate to see who I would've become if I wasn't introduced to either.
-Written by LSHS Junior Erica DeNova I'm passionate about learning. I love the fact that every area of study has so much depth and knowledge to absorb. I love being able to learn bits and pieces from different subjects, or going all in and becoming an expert. I would consider education to be one of the most important parts of my life.
-Written by an LSHS Senior This week we want to ask the students of LSHS what they are passionate about us. Send us an email about what you feel strongly about, and we will review your submission for publishing next Friday. Please send all submissions to [email protected]
-N On this page we will pose open-ended questions for students to answer and express their opinions. The question will change each week. Submissions should be sent to [email protected] for review.
