My favorite quote is from Oprah Winfrey. She said "You can either see yourself as a wave in the ocean or you can see yourself as the ocean". I like this quote because it tells you to see your self as more than a temporary being and as a beautiful work of art.

We look forward to hearing from you! -N Jared Padalecki is an american actor known for his role as Sam Winchester on the show Supernatural. While growing up Jared had many issues involving his diagnosis of anxiety and depression. Now, he encourages people to keep fighting because life does get better. He also does a variety of donations. One of the most recent being one where money was raised for Texas after being hit by Hurricane Harvey. He encourages me to stand up for others and myself and to give back, no matter the circumstances.

He made science fun and accessible. Today, Bill Nye works to inform the public about science and scientific issues that affect us in the modern world.

-N & P If I could change the world, I would have people be more positive. People are too negative nowadays. I also wish people were less judgmental. People often make assumptions about a person without getting to know them. If people got to know each other before making judgements, then they could be more empathetic. They could understand why people act the way they do so they don't make assumptions about people's character.

-N My passion is art. I love painting, drawing, sculpting- anything related to the arts. Art provides me with a way to escape. An escape to my own little world. While I can always get better, the joy and sense of accomplishment that art gives me makes me have that much more of a drive to continue my work. Art ties people together and I'm glad to be a part of something like that.
Written by an LSHS Senior My passion isn't limited to a singular thing. I love learning and discovering why things are the way they are. However, I'm also passionate about performing. Whether it be singing at a family event or acting on a stage. My love for learning has introduced many topics, some which I didn't even know existed, into my life. Thanks to that, I feel more educated and have a greater perspective of our world. The same could be said with performing. I was once shy and quirt, but singing in different languages gave me the confidence I needed. If I were to mess up, they wouldn't know or understand. These two things alone will always be something I'm strongly passionate about and I'd hate to see who I would've become if I wasn't introduced to either.
